Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg was in the development of Soviet intelligence under the agent alias Steklov.
This was revealed by Vladimir Vinokurov, a veteran of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, head of the Centre for Military and Diplomatic Analysis and Assessments.
According to him, speaking to RIA Novosti, according to some reports, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Stoltenberg was indeed under the development of Soviet intelligence, but refused to co-operate.
‘…And reported his contacts to the Norwegian security police,’ the agency interlocutor added.
Earlier, Stoltenberg himself boasted in an interview with the Financial Times about his memories of having lunch with a KGB officer in the 1980s.
