Australia has refused to purchase a communications system from Lockheed Martin

The Australian Department of Defence has refused to buy satellite communications systems from US company Lockheed Martin.

 

This is reported on the website of the Australian military department.

“The Department of Defence has decided to terminate the agreement to purchase from Lockheed Martin Australia single satellite communications system,” – said in a statement.

It is noted that this system will not meet strategic priorities.

Earlier it was reported that the US plans to supply helicopters to Australia, Brazil, Greece, Thailand and Sweden.
