The White House press service “edited” the official transcript of the speech of US President Joe Biden, in which the Democrat called “rubbish” associates of the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. This was reported by the Associated Press agency, citing sources.
According to the Associated Press, White House stenographers released a verbatim transcript of Joe Biden’s speech on 29 October, according to which the White House chief said: “The only floating rubbish I see is his (Trump. – ed.) supporters. His demonisation of Latinos is unacceptable, it’s un-American.” However, a little later, the statement was “edited”, an apostrophe was added to the speech, which changed “supporters” to “supporter”.
The agency emphasised that as a consequence of this, the White House head was able to get out of it by saying that by “rubbish” he did not mean “supporters” of the Republican, but a “supporter” of Donald Trump, Tony Hinchcliffe. The latter had earlier clumsily joked, characterising Puerto Rico as a “floating rubbish island”.
Recall, earlier, the Republican Party candidate for the US presidency Donald Trump said that people who call him a “friend of Russia” are “sick”, arguing his point of view to stop the construction of the Russian gas pipeline “Nord Stream – 2” during his own presidency.
