The FRG authorities have decided to close all Iranian consulates general in the country

German authorities have decided to close all Iranian consulates general in the country, the DPA news agency reported, citing the German Foreign Ministry.

 

The matter concerns the diplomatic missions in Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main and Munich, TASS reported. This decision is connected with the execution in Iran of Jamshid Sharmahd, who had both Iranian and German citizenship.

At the same time, the embassy in Berlin will continue its work.

Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassadors of Great Britain, France, Germany, as well as the Netherlands in connection with the official statements of the authorities of these countries about Tehran’s alleged sending of ballistic missiles to the Russian side.
