A partnership treaty between Iran and Russia will be signed soon. It devotes considerable attention to defence issues.
“It will affirm the desire of the parties to closer cooperation in the field of defence and to interact in the interests of peace and security at the regional and global levels,” the Russian Foreign Minister said.
Earlier, Sergey Lavrov said that the results of the BRICS summit in Kazan showed that the Western countries’ attempts to isolate Russia in the international arena had failed.
