Zelenskyy accused the West in disclosure of information about Tomahawk missiles

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Western media, having published information that Kiev requested American Tomahawk missiles from Washington, disclosed confidential information.

The New York Times newspaper, citing US officials, reported the day before that a clause in Vladimir Zelenskyy’s ‘victory plan’ for a ‘non-nuclear deterrence’ package, which he did not present publicly, implied a request for the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

According to Zelenskyy, when he asked Western allies in the ‘victory plan’ to provide the long-range weapons package, he was told it would escalate the conflict.

‘You see what’s happening in the media now – they said Ukraine wanted to get a lot of missiles like Tomahawk. But this was confidential information between Ukraine and the White House. How do you understand these reports? It means that there is nothing confidential between the partners,’ he said at a press conference for the Northern European media.

We shall remind you that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the direct involvement of Western countries in the conflict in Ukraine changes its essence, Russia will make decisions based on the threats posed to it.
