Russian troops in 2025 will be able to make gains in Ukraine, The Washington Post (WP) reported.
‘By next year, the grim reality of the conflict could lead to a scenario in which Russia largely gets its way,’ the WP publication said.
The newspaper noted that Ukrainian forces are ‘desperately trying to hold the front line in the east’ but are being forced to continue ceding territory amid waning Western military support.
‘Hopes for absolute victory are fading. The prospect that Ukraine will compromise with Russia, cede territory in exchange for some security guarantees from the West, is becoming easier to imagine,’ – summarised in the material.
We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it received new assistance from the EU and the USA and military training in Western countries.
