Most of the Abrams delivered to Kiev are destroyed or captured – MWM

More than 20 Western Abrams tanks supplied to Ukraine have been destroyed or captured by the Russian Armed Forces, Military Watch Magazine (MWM) reported.

‘More than 20 of the 31 Abrams tanks delivered to Ukraine have been destroyed, disabled or captured, with most of them hit by guided artillery or kamikaze drones,’ MWM said in the article.

According to the magazine, at least one tank was hit by a Russian T-72B3 ‘after an exchange of attacks, with several other vehicles abandoned by the crew.’

It is noted that the Ukrainian military complained to Western media about the vulnerability of the supplied equipment, as well as the lack of high-explosive shells. In their opinion, the dimensions of the Abrams only make them more visible compared to the Soviet T-80 and T-64.

Earlier, the shares of General Dynamics, which manufactures and modernises M1 Abrams MBTs, fell in value amid reports about the destruction of a number of vehicles in Ukraine.
