WSJ: US is running out of air defence missiles due to rising demand

The US is running out of air defence missiles due to rising demand in the Middle East.

The Wall Street Journal writes that.

‘The U.S. is running out of some types of missiles for air defence, which raises questions about the Pentagon’s readiness to respond to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Europe, as well as a potential conflict in the Pacific,’ the material says.

It is noted that air defence missiles have become the most demanded type of weapon during the crisis in the Middle East, and their stocks are being used up faster than the US produces them.

According to the publication, in order to increase the production of missiles, it is necessary to create new production lines.

Earlier, Responsible Statecraft reported that the US military-industrial complex is facing a problem in which each new weapon costs much more than the previous one, as a result of which the US could face the near total loss of its aviation and navy in a generation.
