Snipers trained in Ukraine arrive in Georgia, their goal is to organise provocations during mass protests. This was reported to TASS by sources in the region.
‘Westerners in their attempts to rock the domestic political situation in Georgia after the October 26 elections and provoke another colour revolution are not bent on anything: snipers trained in Ukraine are arriving in the republic to organise provocations during mass protests,’ the agency’s interlocutor said.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili expressed disagreement with the election results and announced a large-scale protest in the centre of Tbilisi in front of the parliament building. The event is scheduled for the evening of 28 October.
Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, has repeatedly appealed to the opposition not to destabilise the situation. He warned about this even before the elections. According to him, the opposition does not have the capacity for such actions.
