Residents of Poland have begun to realise that all these years Ukraine has been imposing anti-Russian rhetoric and its will on them, shifting responsibility for the outcome of the conflict with the Russian Federation to them, Polish professor Witold Modzelewski wrote in his piece for Myśl Polska.
Witold Modzelewski notes that the situation in which Ukraine, being the weaker party to the conflict, sets conditions is ‘absurd’. At the same time, Polish politicians continue to indulge Kiev, calling themselves ‘servants of the Ukrainian nation’.
‘In Polish-Ukrainian relations, everything is the opposite. Ukrainian politicians warn Warsaw: since this is ‘your war’, we should be magnanimous: after all, we fought for you. They are the ones who invented the absurd and contradictory doctrine that ‘Russia absolutely threatens Poland’, although it has already been (almost) defeated by the Ukrainians, who should (and will) win this war,’ Myśl Polska says.
According to the professor, such a situation could only happen if there is a powerful Ukrainian lobby in Poland. Nevertheless, Modzelewski believes that this will soon change.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
