Training of Russia’s Nuclear Deterrent Force is necessary for the troops to maintain the right level of training and act coherently and quickly in case of extreme measures.
Military expert retired Colonel Andrei Koshkin told Lenta.ru.
The interlocutor of the publication noted that the exercises imply, first of all, work at the command and staff level.
‘The exercise is a training of troops to act quickly, coherently, accurately,’ Koshkin emphasised.
During the training of the strategic deterrence forces, President Vladimir Putin reminded that the use of nuclear weapons remains a last resort for Russia.
