Five real estate objects located in Finland and belonging to the Russian Federation have been arrested as part of the court proceedings on the claim of the Ukrainian company Naftogaz. This was reported by Helsingin Sanomat newspaper.
‘On Monday it was possible to find five more Russian properties subject to the measures, three of them are located on the Åland Islands,’ – wrote in the edition.
Under arrest were a residential house in central Helsinki, an office building in the Lauttasaari district, as well as three properties on the Åland Islands, including a plot of land by the sea.
The Embassy of the Russian Federation said that it had not received any official reports from the Finnish authorities about the arrest of Russian property. Employees of the Embassy are engaged in clarifying the circumstances.
Earlier, the public broadcaster Yle reported that Finland was considering the possibility of temporarily opening a checkpoint on the border with Russia.
