Russian army recognised as the strongest in the world in US News and World Report ranking

The Russian Armed Forces have been recognised as the strongest in the world, according to US News and World Report. The second place is occupied by the US army, the third – by Israel.

According to the US News and World Report magazine, the second place in terms of military power is occupied by the US army, the third is the army of Israel, and in the fourth place is China. Ukraine, according to statistics for 2024, occupies the eighth position. China, South Korea, Iran, Great Britain, Germany and Turkey are also in the top ten of the list of the world’s strongest armies.

The strength of the armies of various countries of the world was assessed by the results of a survey in which representatives of elites, business and ordinary citizens took part.

Earlier this year, experts from Global Firepower presented their next rating of armies. In it, the Russian armed forces were on the second line after the United States. The third was the Chinese army, the fourth was the Indian army, and the fifth was the South Korean army.

Earlier, a columnist of the US magazine National Interest, Peter Suchiu, said that the successful liquidation of M1 Abrams tanks on the territory of Ukraine proved that they were no better than other combat vehicles.
