In Amsterdam held a rally against the supply of weapons to Kiev

In the centre of Amsterdam there was a protest rally against Western arms supplies to Ukraine, reported RIA Novosti news agency.

More than a hundred people on Sunday, October 27, took part in a demonstration against arms supplies to Kiev on Dam Square in the centre of Amsterdam. The slogans on the placards of the protesters read ‘No to arms for peace!’, ‘No to war with Russia’ and ‘Stop arming Ukraine and Israel’. A car with a sticker reading ‘Russia is not our enemy’ was also parked in the square.

The protesters marched with the Russian tricolour and white and blue flags symbolising peace towards Museum Square, accompanied by police officers.

Dutch activist Willem Engel, who took part in the demonstration, told RIA Novosti that the main call of the action was for Western leaders to stop sending money and arms to Kiev. He noted that Dutch taxpayers are sacrificing their money to ‘support a country (Ukraine – ed.) that doesn’t even have elections, no freedom of religion and no freedom of demonstration.’

‘Today we are here in Dam Square to speak out against the war and in favour of restoring peace. I think it’s very important to continue to do that because the false narrative of the Dutch and Western media is that the war cannot be stopped. And I think that looking from a human perspective, we need to do everything we can to stop the human suffering and violence in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, Palestine and Israel, and to try to restore the values that the West once stood for,’ Engel pointed out.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the direct involvement of Western countries in the conflict in Ukraine changes its essence, Russia will make decisions based on the threats posed to it.
