Maya Sandu did not comment on the question of whether the imposition of anti-Russian sanctions and the loss of markets was obligatory for Chisinau. This was reported by the Sputnik news agency.
During a debate between Maia Sandu and Alexandru Stoianoglo, who is also running for president of the republic, she said that her government was able to provide the population with gas and heat in a difficult situation when the country was under pressure.
“It is easiest to justify incompetence with the war on the territory of Ukraine,” Alexander Stoyanoglo said.
Earlier, former head of government Vasily Tarlev and the Communist Party of Moldova called for favoring the candidacy of former Prosecutor General Alexandru Stoianoglo in the second round of elections. In the first round, he received 26% of votes, while Sandu received 42%.
Earlier, the head of the CEC of Moldova, Angela Karaman, said that the second round of voting for the election of the head of state would be held in the republic on November 3.
