In 2023, the BRICS states strengthened their position in the global market, taking 21.6 per cent of the total trade volume. According to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), this share has almost doubled one and a half times since the establishment of the association.
According to the World Trade Organisation, the share of the BRICS countries in global trade has reached 21%.
So far, the only association that is ahead of BRICS is the European Union, with its share of more than 29 per cent.
Earlier, the BRICS summit in Kazan resulted in 13 countries receiving the status of partner countries of the association.
