Putin: the new participants have seen that BRICS has the most important thing – respect

The new BRICS members saw during the last summit that the most important thing in this association is mutual respect and consideration of each other’s interests. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a press conference following the BRICS summit.

Vladimir Putin said that the new participants have seen and realised that “it is possible to work and achieve results” in BRICS.

“The new participants have seen and realised that it is possible to work and achieve results in BRICS. They felt that our association has the most important thing – mutual respect and obligatory consideration of each other’s interest,” he said.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin said that the United Nations development institutions should be adapted to the “realities of the 21st century”.
