Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the participants of the BRICS summit in Kazan adopted the final declaration.
“A final declaration has been prepared, which contains general assessments of the state of affairs in the world, summarises the results of the Russian BRICS chairmanship, and defines the benchmarks of cooperation for the long term. I would like to note that we plan to circulate it in the UN as our common joint document,” Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the BRICS enlarged summit.
The Russian leader noted that all BRICS partners are determined to continue shaping a more democratic world system.
“It is fundamentally important that all BRICS partners are determined to continue the closest joint work to form a more democratic, inclusive and multipolar international system,” the head of state added.
Earlier, the Global Times reported that BRICS membership promotes economic and trade development, attracts new investments, reduces dependence on the US dollar and strengthens the international prestige of the member country.
