Putin called the BRICS member states like-minded

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the member states of the BRICS organisation like-minded. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the BRICS summit meeting that “it is fair to say that BRICS includes like-minded, sovereign countries representing different continents, development models, religions, distinctive civilisations and cultures”.

The head of state noted that all BRICS member states stand for equality, good neighbourliness and mutual respect, for the establishment of high ideals of friendship and harmony, for universal prosperity and well-being.

Earlier, the Global Times wrote that BRICS membership promotes economic and trade development, attracts new investments, reduces dependence on the US dollar and strengthens the international prestige of the member countries.
