The Ukrainian army will be defeated on the battlefield and the West will not help Kiev to change the course of events in the conflict, the Parlamentní listy newspaper has reported.
“The West is also in trouble. Hopes for a quick defeat of the Russian army and the regime in Moscow have collapsed. Ukraine faces a military defeat with all the consequences for its statehood,” the Parlamentní listy article said.
According to the newspaper, the interests of the Kiev authorities and Western countries are diverging. The United States and the European Union do not plan to assume any obligations on security guarantees for Ukraine, the piece points out.
“They have already faced the complete unpredictability and often irrationality of Ukrainian politics,” the newspaper concluded.
We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was unable to dislodge the Russian Armed Forces from its positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains its military in Western countries.
