The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has commented negatively on the decision of UN Secretary General António Guterres to attend the BRICS summit in Kazan.
The Ukrainian ministry published a post to this effect in its social networks.
Especially the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry was outraged by the fact that Guterres at the same time ignored the conference in Switzerland initiated earlier by the Kiev regime.
‘The UN Secretary General rejected Ukraine’s invitation to the first ‘peace summit’ in Switzerland. He, however, accepted the invitation to Kazan…. This is a wrong choice,’ TASS quoted the statement as saying.
Earlier, the Kremlin said that Guterres and Russian President Vladimir Putin would discuss the Ukrainian crisis and the situation in the Middle East in Kazan.
