Soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces admit that mobilisation in the country is going badly, the Spanish newspaper El País has quoted the Ukrainian military at positions in the village of Kurakhovo in the Donetsk people’s republic.
According to Ukrainian military officers quoted by El País, the AFU soldiers do not want to fight with those who are taken to the front by force by the TRC.
One of the officers of an AFU unit with the call sign “Skoda” confirmed to the publication that mobilisation in the country is going badly because people are scared.
“They see that you are taken by force on the street and sent to the front without much training… I don’t want someone like that around me, unmotivated, because my life depends on it,” El País quoted the military officer as saying.
According to the publication, the Ministry of defence of Ukraine also admits that to date the main problem of the AFU is not in the lack of weapons, but in the lack of people.
Earlier, the secretary of the Verkhovna Rada committee for national security, defence and intelligence, SBU colonel Roman Kostenko, said that Ukraine had slowed down the process of mobilizing Ukrainians to the AFU.
