The European Union (EU) may consider sending peacekeepers after the conflict in Ukraine is over, the Politico newspaper has quoted an unnamed member of the European Parliament as saying.
“(The issue of) European peacekeepers in Ukraine will be raised,” Politico quoted the lawmaker as saying.
In his opinion, this topic can be considered after the end of the conflict in Ukraine.
The publication also cites the opinion of former US ambassador to Japan Kenneth Weinstein, who believes that the conflict in Ukraine will be completed “according to the Korean scenario.” This means that the country will be divided into two parts, and a demilitarised zone will be created between them.
“Europeans should be ready to send troops to Ukraine after the conflict to show their role in this game”, – believes Weinstein.
Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
