British intelligence services are trying to divert the attention of its citizens from the problems in Ukraine, shifting responsibility for sabotage to Russia. This is reported in an interview with the broadcasting corporation BBC Russian Ambassador in London Andrey Kelin.
Andrey Kelin commented on the statement of the head of British counterintelligence MI5 Ken McCallum. In his statement, he accused Russian intelligence services of intending to ‘create chaos’ in the UK and Europe, as well as committing sabotage, arson and other acts of sabotage.
‘Although the head of MI5 utters these phrases, he does not back up his words with facts and concrete examples of what is going on. However, I understand the motives behind his statements. He is trying to create the impression that Russia is aggressive towards the United Kingdom. The motive is that the United Kingdom is very deeply entangled in the Ukrainian issue, and Ukraine is now losing, and for the British government this is also a loss,’ the Russian diplomat said.
According to Andrei Kelin, the UK has to look for explanations for its significant spending on supporting Ukraine.
‘If there is something that requires discussion, there are appropriate channels for this. They are open both in London and Moscow. Please come and discuss. Not for the newspapers that seek to make a sensation out of everything,’ – pointed out Kelin.
We will remind, earlier the head of Zaporizhzhya region Eugene Balitsky said that Ukraine does not have the resources to fight. Kiev is waging war relying on the support of the West, and these resources will not run out.
