There is no consensus in the US to lift restrictions for Kiev on strikes on Russian Federation – Biden

The United States administration has not reached a consensus on lifting restrictions for Ukraine to launch long-range weapons strikes deep into Russian territory, US President Joe Biden has said.

“In foreign policy, they never say, ‘I’ll never change my mind.’ There is no consensus on long-range weapons right now,” Joe Biden said at a news conference.

According to Biden, he “will not speculate” on what should happen for Western countries to lift the relevant restriction.

The U.S. leader also touched on the upcoming U.S. presidential election in November. Journalists asked Biden whether Washington’s partners are concerned about who exactly will turn out to be the new White House host.

“They are curious,” – replied the American President.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin allowed the creation of a sanitary zone on the territory of Ukraine. It can pass on the current Ukrainian territories, should be difficult to overcome for means of defeat, primarily Western-made.
