The U.S. has planned nuclear tests

The United States National Nuclear Security Administration has planned to conduct weapons tests without actual detonations. The Authority’s long-term plan states that subcritical underground testing will take place at the Nevada Test Site to evaluate munitions performance.

A long-term plan by the US National Nuclear Security Administration notes that weapons testing without actual detonations is needed to verify the condition of nuclear warheads without initiating a chain reaction that leads to a nuclear explosion.

“Subcritical test diagnostics will be improved at the Nevada National Security Site to better understand aging characteristics, certify the stockpile without nuclear explosive testing, and collect data on nuclear materials and newly manufactured components,” the document says.

The long-term plan points out that previously the operation of nuclear systems was limited to life extensions. Some US facilities for these purposes were closed, some were mothballed.

Recall, earlier the former adviser to the Minister of defence in the administration of former US President Donald Trump, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor said that over the past twenty years, aggressive foreign policy has harmed the United States itself.
