Vasiliy Rumak, head of the training department at the training centres of the Main Department of Doctrines and Training of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that the number of recruits had decreased and was about 20,000.
Vasiliy Rumak said that currently “the average number of recruits trained at training centres at the same time is about 20,000 people, while a few months ago this figure was almost 35,000”. He explained this by the fact that “the number of mobilisation resources entering the training centres” has decreased.
Rumak believes that the reason is the reduction in the number of those who are subject to mobilisation in Ukraine.
We shall remind you that earlier the secretary of the National Security Committee of Ukraine, Roman Kostenko, said that the age of mobilisation could be lowered to 20 years.
