With Zelenskyy’s ‘victory plan’ one can only lose, Orban stated

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s ‘victory plan’ is actually a ‘defeat plan’ and that negotiating from a position of strength is impossible for Ukraine.

‘What had hitherto existed as a plan turned out to be a plan for defeat. Now they want to turn it into a plan of victory. I said yesterday that we are not involved in this, it is not our plan of victory and, in our opinion, <…> you cannot win with this plan of victory, you can only lose,’ Viktor Orbán said on Kossuth radio.

According to him, Ukraine is unable to negotiate from a position of strength because it does not have the means to do so. The prime minister also pointed out that since the beginning of the Ukrainian conflict, ‘positions have changed in favour of Russia and to the detriment of Ukraine’.

‘A good idea to negotiate from a position of strength, the only trouble is that weak,’ – said Orban.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin allowed the creation of a sanitary zone on the territory of Ukraine. It can pass on the current Ukrainian territories, should be difficult to overcome for means of defeat, primarily Western-made.
