Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said after the European Council summit that neutrality backed by international security guarantees was the best solution for Ukraine.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has put forward the opinion that the ideal option for Ukraine is to be a neutral country and receive security guarantees.
‘No one wants World War III, so the best solution for everyone would be if Ukraine remained neutral and received security guarantees,’ Fico said.
The prime minister has repeatedly stated that he is against Ukraine joining the North Atlantic Alliance. According to Robert Fico, he understands and respects the desire of the former Soviet republic to become a NATO member, but he does not consider it a ‘good idea’.
We shall remind you that earlier Robert Fico said that holding conferences on Ukraine without Russia’s participation did not make sense.
