AFU positions in Chasov Yar begin to weaken – The Wall Street Journal

The positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Chasov Yar are in a ‘very difficult situation’ amid an offensive by Russian troops, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing Ukrainian military officials.

The Russian Armed Forces have broken through at two sites near Chasov Yar, which could be a significant step by Russian forces towards taking control of the city, The Wall Street Journal reported.

It is specified that the Russian Armed Forces broke through to the east of the city. ‘The advance (…) could mean a significant step by Russia to take the city,’ the material says.

In addition, the Ukrainian serviceman Rostislav Kasyanenko in conversation with the publication noted that one mistake is enough for Chasov Yar ‘fell in a few days’.

Recall, the Russian army on 16 October liberated the settlements of Nevskoye in the LNR and Krasny Yar in the DNR.
