Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has said that only a war of extermination can be an alternative to a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
This is reported by the press service of the head of Kazakhstan.
‘There is no other way. The alternative is a war of mutual extermination,’ Tokayev said.
In his opinion, some world forces may be interested in such an arrangement, but it is a ‘path to the abyss.’
He also noted that striving for negotiations to resolve the conflict is a manifestation of strategic prudence.
Earlier, the Kazakh authorities said that they were ready to mediate or provide a platform for talks between Russia and Ukraine.
