Swedish Defence Minister Paul Johnson has said that Ukraine’s membership in NATO is not an issue at the moment.
‘The question of Ukraine’s membership in NATO is not an issue at the moment,’ RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
According to him, this is due to the ongoing conflict on the territory of the country.
Earlier, the Associated Press reported that Ukraine’s borders should be clearly demarcated before the country joins NATO.
In addition, US ambassador to NATO Julianne Smith said that the alliance would not invite Ukraine to NATO in the near future.
