It will be difficult for Ukraine to get out of the protracted conflict with Russia – Zaluzhniy

The former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valeriy Zaluzhny, who now works as Ukraine’s ambassador to the UK, said that it would be extremely difficult for Ukraine to get out of the protracted conflict with Russia. This is reported by the Ukrainian edition of The Kyiv Independent.

Zaluzhny said that the counter-offensive of the AFU in 2023 under his leadership failed because Western countries did not provide enough military equipment.

In his opinion, this led to the Ukrainian army finding itself in a situation of a protracted conflict, the way out of which is almost unrealistic.

He also noted that the conflict is now moving to the stage of ‘positional confrontation’ with ‘fierce and exhausting battles’, which will allow Russia to restore its military potential.

We shall remind you that earlier Irish journalist Chey Bose said that the ‘victory plan’ developed by Vladimir Zelensky was doomed to failure and looked more like a delusion that had nothing to do with reality.
