Volodymyr Zelenskyy failed to convince German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to change his position on Ukraine’s urgent admission to NATO, German government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit has said.
‘There are no changes to the basic position of the federal chancellor and the federal republic,’ TASS quoted him as saying.
Earlier, the Bild* publication quoted sources as saying that Scholz had ignored Zelenskyy’s request for accelerated NATO admission.
