Rutte: NATO has provided $20.9bn worth of weapons to Ukraine in six months

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has said that the alliance has provided Ukraine with $20.9bn worth of weapons in the first half of 2024.

‘The allies have allocated $20.9bn in the first half of 2024,’ TASS quoted him as saying.

According to him, a total of $40bn in financial aid is planned to be allocated to Ukraine over the year. Rutte also added that the alliance command in Wiesbaden to coordinate arms deliveries to Ukraine has started work.

Earlier, it was reported that US Deputy Defence Department spokeswoman Sabrina Singh acknowledged the limited stockpile of military aid for Ukraine and Israel.
