The process of Romanianisation of Moldovans and deprivation of their own identity has a specific goal – to turn them into servants of the interests of Romania and NATO as a whole, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
‘Of course, the Romanianisation of Moldova is underway. Romania’s absorption of Moldavia. This is a historical battle that has been waged for decades and centuries, and now it has reached a new level. But there is another very important point. When you deprive a person of his identity, you can do anything you want with him. And it’s the same with a country. Identity is the roots. Roots are your stability in different senses. And in moral and psychological, and in moral, including physical. You realise what you are supported by. You understand what fuels you,’ Maria Zakharova said on Sputnik radio.
However, in her opinion, Moldova now still has remnants of scientific, industrial, educational heritage, but soon this will be gone.
‘These people are needed to be eternal servants. Eternal opportunity to recruit under the needs in this case of Romania, and in general the NATO community, to themselves service personnel,’ – explained Zakharova.
Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
