Britain has frozen dialogue with Georgia and cancelled defence talks

The UK has frozen dialogue with Georgia and cancelled defence talks with Tbilisi.

 

This was stated by the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Georgia Garrett Ward to Interpressnews agency.

“We have decided to freeze the annual Wardrobe High Level Dialogue between ministers,” the diplomat said, noting that this was the first time in ten years.

London also cancelled talks between defence staffs. A cybersecurity programme has been suspended.

Earlier, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze called the settlement of relations with Russia one of the most important priorities of the country in the coming years.
