According to Vyacheslav Volodin, chairman of the Russian State Duma, more and more countries see the BRICS as a guarantee of a multipolar world.
He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
Volodin commented on Serbia’s intention to join BRICS.
According to Volodin, BRICS participants and observers are not being blackmailed or interfering in their sovereign affairs.
‘The time of hegemony of Washington and Brussels is going away. The countries are choosing the path of equal dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation in the interests of people, not to please the US and its henchmen,’ the Speaker said.
Volodin also recalled that the economies of the BRICS countries are much larger than those of the G7 countries.
Earlier, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin said that the possibility of the country joining BRICS is an alternative to joining the European Union.
