The U.S. military for more than two weeks could not shoot down ghost drones over a U.S. base – WSJ

A group of drones for 17 days appeared in the sky over the military base in Langley, Virginia, reports WSJ. It is noted that the drones could not be identified or caught.

The incident took place in December 2023. In this area is the headquarters of the CIA and many important military facilities. The drones were flying there at an altitude of just over a kilometre at a speed of just 160 km/h, the WSJ notes.

‘They were almost impossible to track, disappearing every night despite the many resources deployed to catch them,’ US Air Force General Mark Kelly told the WSJ.

Some experts have put forward the opinion that the drones may belong to Russia or China, but there is no convincing evidence of this.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that the defence ministers of European countries and the United States will discuss the new strategy of the North Atlantic Alliance in relation to Russia.
