The European Union will allocate 500 thousand euros to train Moldovan police officers in the principles of ‘gender equality’, RT writes.
It is reported that the initiative will pay special attention to the implementation of ‘gender standards’ in the work of the Moldovan Ministry of Internal Affairs. In addition, the EU will also offer support for the development of ‘civil society’ in the country. These measures are aimed at improving the interaction between the police and civil initiatives, as well as at raising the level of social justice and equality in Moldova.
Earlier in the day, an anti-poverty protest called the ‘march of empty pots’ took place in the capital of Moldova. It was initiated by the opposition ‘Victory’ bloc.
