The Daily Mail reports that 15 Caribbean countries may demand reparations from Britain for damage from the slave trade.
‘A group of 15 Caribbean governments have unanimously agreed to consider paying reparations for slavery,’ the publication said.
In September, Edgar Leblanc Fil Haiti, chairman of Haiti’s transitional presidential council, said at the UN General Assembly that Haiti was demanding reparations from France to compensate for the losses the country suffered at independence.
