Lithuania intends to train its servicemen on the territory of Latvia and Poland due to the insufficient number of training grounds. This was reported by the Sputnik news agency.
According to Lithuanian Defence Minister Laurynas Kasčiūnas, the Baltic republic is already discussing this issue with neighbouring states.
According to Kasčiūnas, Lithuania could send company or battalion military formations to Latvia and Poland.
“Any additional places for training would be necessary. We have a shortage of training grounds,” the Minister emphasised.
Recall, earlier the Lithuanian Seimas Committee on National Security and Defence supported the continuation of consideration of the bill on the creation of military training grounds in Tauraga and Shilala districts.
