A strike by the Iskander operational-tactical missile system has destroyed a Panamanian-flagged vessel carrying weapons for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) from a Romanian port to Odessa, MWM magazine has said.
The magazine pointed out that the Iskander complex ballistic missile hit the Panama-flagged container ship Shui Spirit, which was carrying weapons from the Romanian port of Constanta to Odessa. Together with the vessel sank two boats of the Ukrainian border service, the number of victims totalled seven people, MWM noted.
The publication stressed that Constanta had become one of the main transit points for sending Western arms to Ukraine. The resultant missile strike caused secondary detonations in places of unloading, the material says.
We will remind, earlier in the Russian Defence Ministry said that the Russian complex Iskander-M destroyed a container ship with ammunition from Europe, unloaded in the port in Odessa region.
