Any ideas about creating military blocs threaten confrontation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said amid Japan’s proposal to create an “Asian NATO.”
“Any militarisation, any ideas about the creation of military blocs always carry risks of confrontation, which can move into a hot phase,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Lavrov also expressed concern over Japan’s remilitarisation.
