NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has said that authorising the use of long-range missiles to strike deep into Russia will not change the situation in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
‘Any one particular weapon will not change the situation,’ RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fiсo responded to calls for Ukraine to authorise long-range strikes against Russia. He pointed out that ‘one such missile could break a fountain in Brussels’ so that the Europeans realise what they are talking about.
In his turn, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov, said that countries in Europe should heed Fico’s words.
