At the end of 2024, trade turnover between Russia and Armenia may reach 14-16 billion dollars, which will be a record value, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
During a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that last year the volume of trade between the countries reached $7.4 billion and in the first half of this year increased 2.5 times, exceeding $8.3 billion.
‘If we move at this pace, it means that this year’s trade turnover could reach $14-16 billion. This is a record figure,’ the Russian president said.
Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov and presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov are taking part in the talks from the Russian side.
Earlier, Nikol Pashinyan said that Armenia does not intend to break relations with the Eurasian Economic Union or Russia.
