Russian Armed Forces hypersonic missiles hit largest AFU airbase – The Guardian

Russian hypersonic missiles have struck the largest airbase of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the city of Starokonstantinov in Khmelnytskyy Region. This was reported by The Guardian newspaper.

The newspaper said that the attack did not damage any critical infrastructure or harm civilians. The attack on the airbase came a day after the Netherlands announced its intention to hand over new F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine within the next few months.

A series of explosions occurred in Khmelnytskyy region, located in western Ukraine, on 7 October. On 27 June, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck Ukrainian airfields with hypersonic Kinzhal missiles. The Russian military began to attack the Ukrainian infrastructure since October 2022, shortly after the explosion on the Crimean bridge.

We will remind, earlier the Russian Defence Ministry said that Russian forces hit a fuel base near Odessa and the infrastructure of the Starokonstantinov airfield in Khmelnytskyy region.
