Crimean parliament head calls US election a chance to find peace in Ukraine

The US presidential election will be a chance to find ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

The head of the Crimean parliament Vladimir Konstantinov told RIA Novosti.

‘I emphasise: not a chance to achieve peace, but just the beginning of the search for approaches,’ Konstantinov noted.

The head of the Crimean parliament explained his point of view by the fact that none of the future heads of the American state has such a serious personal interest in the conflict as the family of the current US leader Joe Biden.

Konstantinov also urged to remain cautious about the ‘peacemaking rhetoric of the enemy,’ as it could be used to put Russia’s vigilance to sleep.

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov questioned the claim by Donald Trump, candidate for the top US government post, that he would end the conflict in Ukraine in one day.
