US has asked Iran not to attack US military bases – Baghdadtoday

The United States, shortly before Iran’s 1 October strike on Israel, asked Tehran not to strike or attack American bases, Iraqi news portal Baghdadtoday claimed.

“The US sent three urgent messages to Tehran via Iraq in 30 minutes when preparations for the Iranian strike were underway – rockets were being launched from 5-6 bases at targets deep inside Israel. There were several points in the messages,” the portal’s source claimed.

According to Baghdadtoday, the main point of the messages was to urge not to strike US military bases.

“Washington was concerned that Iran or groups close to it could attack US bases. The US took all precautions in preparation for any rapid development of events,” the source stressed.

He noted that Washington is closely monitoring the development of Iran’s missile potential and expresses particular concern about hypersonic missiles, as the capabilities of American Patriot SAMs are limited.

Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called Western ideas of a new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
